I engage in Somatic Healing from a deeply personal place. Learning to connect with myself: mind, body and spirit brought about my own healing in the early years of my career and I continue to practice what I share with clients every day within myself. It is an ongoing deepening of awareness and a great adventure in knowing oneself.

Embodiment is key: a conscious and deepening felt sense of oneself in the body, a growing access to intuitive wisdom, a felt awareness of God/Spirit living within. All of these aspects lead to incredible peace, clarity and spiritual direction. In my role as healing practitioner, I highly value helping my clients through the stuck, frozen, empty or overly activated places within their minds, bodies and nervous systems, as well as helping them to be with themselves in a more present, compassionate way. This leads to their learning over time to become their own best coach through the ups and downs of life.

A somatic practitioner with a Regulated Nervous System allows one to be more fully attuned with their client. This helps healing in several ways. As the practitioner heals and deepens their regulation they become more aware of variations within their own nervous system. Thus, they can be more sensitive to subtle changes in their client. The attunement happens when practitioner is embodied and regulated to the degree needed by the client. This is why a personal practice of somatic processing and nervous system regulation is so important for practitioners to assist clients with integrity.

When I am working with a client, my attunement with them allows me to have a felt sense of their whole system: somatic unwinding, activation and the Presence of Spirit leading it all. My attunement with them greatly helps them to calm witin, sometimes very quickly. As client’s learn that calm already exists within them, they can also learn to trust the calm and gain a felt sense of safety within. The focused calm awareness leads the way for new neutral pathways to form throughout the nervous system, leading to calm becoming the new normal for those seeking more peace in their lives.
