In Depth Trauma Healing

Trauma can feel like…

Fog in the mind.

Heaviness in the heart.

Anxiety – racing thoughts.

The rug pulled out from under you.

Like you can’t get grounded.

Inability to get close to people, in some ways, or in many ways.

Quick reactions that seem bigger than they should be (given the situation).

Disturbing images.

Strange sensations.

Mystery illnesses or somatic complaints that won’t go away.

Trauma occurs when an event happens and you aren’t equipped to handle it mentally, emotionally, physically, and/or spiritually.

You may have been through an event or series of events you knew were traumatic.

There are times you may not even be aware just HOW MUCH a situation affected you.

The good news is…

There’s help!

I learned about trauma the hard way.

Therapists didn’t really know how to help me. Spiritual practitioners weren’t much better.

I needed to heal from the inside out, through some mind-body methods I learned, and by listening to God.

Accept and be more comfortable with your discomfort.

It’s learning to befriend the discomfort so it can more easily heal.

It’s trusting yourself more deeply, step by step.

We need to deal with stuck feelings in the body, and the lack of feeling, too.

These can all be indicators of unresolved trauma.

“The body always leads us home…if we can simply learn to trust sensation and stay with it long enough for it to reveal appropriate action, movement, insight, or feeling.”

– Pat Ogden

Quick techniques may erase symptoms, but do they heal at a deep level?

My many years of experience developing an in depth mind-body-spirit trauma healing model tells me there’s a huge benefit to healing deeply in the heart.

It develops a strength, a power, and a refining of character that you cannot get easily.

Give me a call.

We’ll talk about a plan to work through your trauma.

It’s very important to feel safe with me, and with yourself. We’ll make certain of this before moving forward.

Some people need extra time here, and I get that.

Other times, healing can happen rather easily.

Healing can happen spontaneously because you are ready to heal.

You’ve realized what you needed to learn, and you’re ready to move forward.

This can happen through talking about an experience and exploring your feelings about what happened.

You let go.

What a relief!

Other times, the emotion, or the learning, is held a bit deeper within.

Maybe you didn’t know how to deal with it at the time it occurred, possibly because you were younger or overwhelmed.

It can be helpful to inquire within the heart and the physical body. It will reveal where and what you’re holding onto.

The process is fairly simple.

I’ve had a lot of experience with it, and I can teach you how to do it for yourself. It’s mostly about paying attention in a particular way and listening within.

It’s about learning to be mindfully present with yourself.

And getting comfortable in your heart.

Because of my early learning in life, and through experiences of developing a trauma model out of my own need and awareness, I have gained impeccable discernment.

You’ll get the benefit of this, because I can sense tiny details that dramatically help the trauma to heal.

You’ll feel I’m right there with you.

Sometimes it’s effortless. We’ll unwind it together.

And there will be a deeper peace than ever before.

Call me, and we’ll discuss the best option for your healing.
